What To Expect
We are looking for a Reliability Data Analyst, Semi with experience in physical engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, materials) to tackle projects in modeling the reliability of our Tesla Semi and technologies in the real-world. As a successful candidate, you will leverage your experience in big data analytics to wrangle test and field data.

This role is highly engaging, and you will be working on one of our most exciting products. You will create data pipelines and build interactive visualizations to support cross-functional teams and drive key decisions related to one of our most exciting products.

What You'll Do

  • Access and rapidly execute analyses of large datasets through developing customized code and scripting in Python or other programming languages
  • Own the construction and management of data workflows and aggregations to support reporting on live data connections
  • Build dashboards and other visualizations for effectively communicating analyses to cross-functional teams
  • Develop custom tools and UIs for automatic reporting by connecting and maintaining JIRA backend
  • Proactively improve and maintain projects based on feedback from the broader engineering team and integration with Data Science, Design, and Test organizations


  • What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with data manipulation in Pandas and Pyspark, including deploying efficient queries in a distributed computing environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and Python
  • Strong Data Pipelining experience (ETL, Airflow, Spark Data Analyses)
  • Experience in building interactive visualizations and dashboards using Matplotlib, Seaborn, Bokeh, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
  • Basic understanding of statistics and mathematical models
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple engineering disciplines
  • Ability to support multiple on-going projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstances. Able to adjust priorities on short notice to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of physics and engineering principles

  • Expected Compensation

    $80,000 - $258,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
