As a Regulatory Affairs Analyst, you will be an individual contributor in our Legal, Regulatory Affairs and Compliance group. This role requires you to be nimble as you work with government agencies as well as our highly matrixed business. Your communication skills will be put to the test when you provide high-level insight on regulatory changes and how they will affect different programs.
Positions in this function maintain and enhance relationships with state regulators and interface with business regarding regulatory affairs and form content. Positions are responsible for completing state product filings, legal research, track new laws and regulations in coordination with Government Affairs and support changes to ensure compliance. Reviews policy and regulatory issues/legislation to determine applicable impacts to form content.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries, requests and actions by regulators, including form filing objections
- Complete internal regulatory review and filings related to policy forms within the SERFF filing system
- Handle other regulatory research and review new laws/regulations/guidance
- Analyze and resolve policy and regulatory issues to meet both business and regulatory requirements and to protect our reputation with customers
- Coordinate actuarial filings with the Actuarial Department

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of experience working in health care, managed care and/or health insurance
- 2+ years of experience with medical coding, claims processing, regulatory affairs, compliance or reimbursement
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Experience responding to inquiries from a variety of stakeholders (external customers, internal customers, executives and regulators)
- Experience communicating complex information via phone conversations and emails to non-technical clients, internal customers and executives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into policy form benefit provisions
- Comfortable with rapidly changing tasks and duties based on filing deadlines
- Familiarity with SERFF Filing System
- College Degree or equivalent work experience
