Summary: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Extern I provides direct patient care activities in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Assists in caring for hospitalized patients.
- May perform additional functions as assigned by hospital or department protocols.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree.
- Has completed initial clinical coursework and is in good standing.
- Proficient in basic nursing skills.
- Six months hospital experience preferred but not required.
- BLS certification required within two weeks of employment.
