About The Role

The Regional Vice President, Military Facilities Management is responsible for oversight of all maintenance functions for assigned portfolio, to include adherence to maintenance, safety and environmental policies and procedures, high quality standards, budget, contracts, and capital expenditures. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality of life for military personnel and their families by maintaining safe, comfortable, and well-managed housing facilities. Essential to this role is the ability to champion the ethical and compliant portfolio innovation, sustainable initiatives, development, and implementation of actions plans and the professional development of the BBC facilities management leadership. Role includes accountabilities for successful completion of requirements as described in the BBC MHPI project operating documents, specifically the Facilities Management Agreement. Direct oversight of regional facilities management team within assigned region.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Establish and ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to facilities management in support of successful community management operations. Establish audit procedures to monitor compliance of all policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for financial management of the Facilities Management team within designated region including review and timely submission of annual budgets in coordination with Operations, expense management, employee cost and recruiting, forecasting, and other critical financial factors. Coordinate Capital planning with Project Development to ensure capital needs are executed and allocated accordingly.
  • Partnership between Communities and Facilities is critical to the success of the organization, setting of agreed upon goals, policies and objectives, ensuring the delivery of maintenance services aligns with priorities for maintaining robust occupancy levels and high resident satisfaction.
  • Ensures the safe execution of maintenance activities in accordance with contract requirements and Balfour Beatty Zero Harm safety protocols.
  • Ensures contracts are audited, compliant with company standards and considered across region
  • Champion the training and leadership of the operational impacts of BBC’s Ethics and Compliance policies and practice.
  • Establish and review policies and procedures related to property management functions in support of successful operations to include audit procedures and ensure compliance of all policies and procedures
  • Responsible for financial management of the assigned Military Branch Portfolio including review, approval and timely submission of annual budgets, revenue performance, expense management, employee cost and recruiting, forecasting, and other critical financial factors. Coordinates Capital planning with Project Development to ensure capital needs are allocated accordingly.
  • Partnership between BBC Operations (Communities) and Facility Management is critical to the success of the properties. The VP of Operations oversees the setting of agreed upon goals, policies, and objectives and ensures the delivery of maintenance and customer services align with project priorities for maintaining robust occupancy levels and high resident satisfaction.
  • Ensures all required legal resident documents are executed according to requirements. Confirms the safe execution of maintenance and leasing activities in accordance with contract requirements and Balfour Beatty Zero Harm safety protocols.
  • Champion the training and leadership of the operational impacts of BBC’s Ethics and Compliance policies and practice.

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in property management, facilities management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Security clearance may be required for certain military housing facilities.
  • 10 years of facilities management, residential property management or similar industry experience. Five (5) years of supervisory experience in Facilities Management
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in military housing or a similar setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration and team management skills.
  • Excellent financial management abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental, safety and compliance regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations.
  • Possession of a valid state issues driver’s license and safe driving record are required

Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, equipment, supplies, and office equipment. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 75 lbs.
