The Regional Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Major Furniture, Fixtures, Equipment (FF&E), Point of Sale (POS), Projection, Sound, AV, and Internal IT Systems for a designated region of cinemas. The Regional Technician will provide leadership to the on-site technicians at the locations they oversee, as well as collaborate with local cinema managers and corporate leadership to prioritize their work and provide reports and other information as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in a computer/technology-related field preferred or equivalent relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale software (specifically Vista and Toast) is a plus and 2+ years of projection experience preferred.
  • Experience in Networking, Windows & Microsoft 365 Support, along with hardware installation
  • Experience in troubleshooting network issues, network testing, tracing, and high-level ability to troubleshoot, service, and repair equipment.
  • Degree in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Trade preferred or equivalent relevant experience
  • Effective Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to follow established protocols and processes
  • Ability to maintain composure and meet deadlines; solve problems requiring creativity, initiative, and drive; self-motivated.
  • Service-oriented disposition with willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to connect and coordinate with internal experts and third-party vendors in support of a resolution of the issue for the end user.
  • Trade certifications (EPA, HVAC, Electrical, etc.) a plus but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment specs
  • EPA Universal Licensing is preferred, but may be obtained later for the right Candidate

Key Responsibilities

FF&E and Facilities Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled PM and emergency service for major FF&E projects
  • Coordinate repair and installation with third-party partners
  • Assist with location openings, remodels, and FF&E refresh projects
  • Conduct inspections and repairs on RTUs (filters, thermostats, contactors, etc.)
  • Manage refrigerant in accordance with EPA/local regulations
  • Address plumbing concerns (clogs, leaks, fixture replacements)
  • Inspect and maintain mechanical systems (motors, belts, fans)
  • Perform fire safety checks (extinguishers, exit signage, panels, lighting)
  • Ensure compliance with regional fire and safety codes
  • Provide Assistant Project Management with Company-wide construction projects

Technology Support

  • Oversee regional TMS systems: server maintenance, pack creation, content/key management
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to theaters
  • Deliver basic technical training to theater managers and new technicians
  • Support IT infrastructure: systems, networks, and telecom
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical hardware/software issues
  • Maintain strong understanding of theater operations and POS systems
  • Provide one week per month of after-hours support
  • Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
  • Complete reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks
  • Coordinate with corporate leadership and local managers to prioritize tasks
  • Manage vendor relationships and project timelines
  • Uphold company and departmental standards

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 200 pounds required
  • This is an in-office position, located at one of the sites within a designated region. Remote work is available on a case-by-case basis.
  • Occasional Travel is required for this position (not to exceed 33%).
