ATI has a current need for a full-time **Records Specialist** supporting a federal agency in environmental records (i.e., document) management. The position requires a minimum of a BA or BS in a science-related field such as geology, environmental science, engineering, etc. The position does not require previous records management experience, but 0 to 2 years of experience in records management or similar type work is highly desirable. United States citizenship and the ability to pass a federal government background check required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting records management contracts. Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:

Reviewing, categorizing, and uploading documents (including metadata) into a federal government database, part of which is visible to the public

Record coding and organization

Quality control review of entered metadata

Coordination and preparation of documents for scanning

Merging and bookmarking PDF images

**Required Qualifications and Experience**

Attributes Of The Successful Candidate Include

Strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the desire/ability to quickly learn new tasks

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated report writing experience

Ability to multi-task and manage time to meet deadlines

Ability to manage, organize, and catalog physical and electronic records

High level of professionalism for client interaction

Ability to stack, move, carry, and sort document boxes weighing approximately 30 pounds each

The nature of the work requires proficiency using MS Office (including MS Word and Excel) and the ability to quickly grasp software to interface with databases such as Access. Note that the position may require occasional travel of up to 1 week.

Pay Range

$36,000 - $45,000/year depending on experience

Location

: Columbia, MD

Working Hours

Normal Work Hours - Monday - Friday (anticipate 40 per week).

Selected candidate will be required to work in-office at minimum three days per work week.
