Position Overview
The primary function of the incumbent will be the unloading, quantity and condition verification, and put away of inbound product. Inbound product will be put away to either the primary pick location or to available reserve locations as needed. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., Dry, Cooler and Freezer areas).
- Receive inbound freight utilizing RF scanner and Warehouse Management System.
- Record code date, lot numbers, manufacturing numbers, temperature, etc. as required per product received.
- Ensure that the correct product is received free of damage, infestation, and in the correct quantities ordered.
- Properly label and put-away product to the pick or reserve location(s) within the required temperature zone(s) using a pallet jack or forklift.
- Report variances on inbound loads to Operations Clerks and inventory personnel for report to carriers and suppliers. Collaborate with Operations Clerk and inventory personnel on corrections.
- Safely operate all equipment utilized to perform tasks associated with role.
- Maintain proper and safe lifting techniques.
- Perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment.
- Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Maintain Company standards for safety, attendance, and conduct
- Attend all required Company meetings.
- Follow NDCP’s Good Distribution Practices.
- Assist in the orderly maintenance & general housekeeping of the warehouse.
- Cross train in other functions and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Employees are required to be in/remain in their current position for a minimum of six (6) months and be in good standing before being considered for other job opportunities unless dictated by business needs. (NDCP Employee Handbook, page 14)Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to accurately and safely hand select orders within warehouse
- Ability to operate shrink-wrap machine and manually shrink-wrap product
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (forklift, pallet jack, high lift)
- Ability to work flexible days and hours. Schedule may include weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
- Desire and ability to work in a collaborative work environment
- 1+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Prior receiving experience preferred
- Manhattan and SAP experience preferred
- PIT certified on Fork/Clamp truck and Power Jack preferred
