Scope

The Real Estate Analyst role will provide acquisitions and asset management support at a rapidly growing, private real estate investment company. This is a great opportunity for early career growth!

Acquisitions

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keep current on market research and broker/owner contacts to support sourcing deals
  • Track and update prospective deal pipeline, databases, etc.
  • Assist with due diligence material intake and analysis
  • Research and refine underwriting assumptions, e.g., comparable rents, land values
  • Interface with other departments to support smooth takeover of new acquisitions

Asset Management

  • Support financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring KPIs for portfolio of properties
  • Assist with preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financials for review meetings
  • Provide analytics for senior management concerning real estate taxes, service contracts, etc.
  • Research and support land development projects
  • Update market studies of rent levels and demographics, monitor macroeconomic trends to assist with rent increase determinations
  • Research and track property attributes (e.g., amenities, zoning, long term agreements)

Other Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance of other business units (e.g., sales, inventory) to ensure financial and operating objectives are met
  • Support building and maintaining financial models, resident analytics (e.g., credit, turnover), etc.
  • Complete ad hoc requests and analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or similar field
  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • Excellent analytical skills; quantitative-minded, problem solver
  • Strong work ethic, personal integrity, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; Continually required to sit; Occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds.

COMPENSATION: $55K - $65K/Year (Based on experience)

LOCATION: Home Office (Hybrid)
