What You Will Be Doing

• Deliver targeted reading interventions using research-based methodologies to accelerate literacy development in K-2 students
• Empower young learners to set and achieve personal learning goals, cultivating self-directed learning habits
• Implement specialized instruction in foundational literacy skills with guidance from our Reading Specialists
• Leverage AI-driven educational tools to personalize learning paths and enhance student outcomes
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to address individual learning needs and continuously refine intervention strategies

• Following rigid, outdated literacy curricula that fails to adapt to individual student needs
• Spending excessive time on administrative paperwork instead of direct student interaction
• Working in isolation without the support of specialized reading experts and advanced technological tools
• Implementing generic interventions that ignore the crucial connection between emotional development and reading success
  
  

Reading Interventionist Key Responsibilities

Transform struggling readers into confident, independent learners through targeted interventions that build foundational literacy skills, ultimately preparing them for lifelong academic success.

Basic Requirements

• Commitment to work in-person at our Phoenix, AZ or Austin, TX campus
• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with children ages 4-8 in educational or related settings
• Demonstrated ability to implement growth mindset principles and high-performance coaching strategies
• Proficiency and enthusiasm for integrating AI and educational technology into literacy instruction
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  
  

Nice-to-have Requirements

While meeting the above requirements qualifies you to apply, these additional qualifications will distinguish your application:

• Degree or certification in early learning, education, child development, or reading intervention
• Specialized training in early childhood methodologies (CDA, Montessori, Reggio Emilia)
• Experience as a K-2 teacher, reading coach, or literacy specialist with formal training in reading and phonics frameworks

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
