Job Description

Coordinates ingredient testing for various nutrients. Collects data and provides results in clear, organized fashion. This individual will work closely with product developers to help identify which ingredients and tests should be performed and leverage the appropriate testing request software to organize completing the work. Once results are received, this person will deliver the results to the relevant parties. This person will work with multiple departments to collect and report these data.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Laboratory Techniques: Ability to perform experiments, tests, and measurements using lab equipment.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Recording, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data accurately.
  • Quality Control: Conducting inspections and tests to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintaining detailed records of procedures, results, and observations.
  • Hybrid position of duties, gathering data on ingredients submitting samples as well as global approach for data analyst ingredient (power BI a plus) to look at data trends.
  • Support PRC runs, weighing ingredients, making slurries, lift up to 50lbs (team lifts), submitting samples, collecting data, PH analyst and solids analyst.

Key Characteristics/Attributes/Skills

  • Food Science, Food Engineering and or Food Business primarily. Open to candidates with degrees in Chemistry, Food Microbiology and Process Engineering. BS and/or MS degrees are acceptable. Not looking for candidates with PhDs.
  • Experience: 0-3 years
  • Skills: Power BI is a plus or Data analytics tools understanding. Microsoft Azure and Dot Net experience is a plus. Knowledge of lab safety protocols and regulatory standards.
