- Variable hours
- Location: Shelby
- Performs a wide variety of diagnostic examinations which results in the production of diagnostic radiographs.
- Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures.
- Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiographic equipment.
- Assists radiologists in performing routine and/or special procedures. Administers specific contrast and barium solutions as directed by the Radiologist or other physician in accordance with established guidelines.
- Provides instruction to x-ray students.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the age group served.
- Completion of American Registry of Radiographic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT registry required within 6 months of the date of hire
- Must maintain continuing education credits per biennium to retain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.
- Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
- Preferred: Two years of experience as a Registered radiographer.
