Quality Engineer | Machining

Our client, a machining manufacturer located in the Southern Suburbs of Chicago, is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for maintaining high product quality and performance standards, while also fostering innovation and promoting continuous improvement.

Our client is a machining manufacturer based in the Souther Suburbs of Chicago, with a strong presence in precision components for various industrial applications. They are known for their commitment to quality and long-standing customer relationships. The position will focus on managing customer interactions, identifying and resolving root causes, overseeing all PPAPs, and supporting internal ISO audit processes

Description

• Overseeing the entire PPAP process
• Preparing and conducting internal ISO 9001 audtis
• Working directly with customers to discuss reports and non-conformances
• Lead corrective actions through Root Cause Analysis methods
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• PFMEAs

Profile

• 5+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing setting
• Background with automotive manufacturing and the standards assocaited
• Knowledge of ISO 9001
• Experience with leading or assiting with internal audits
• Strong experience with PPAPs
• Strong Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
• Experience with PFMEA
• GD&T Experience

Job Offer

• Salary Range between $70,000 - $80,000
• 2-3 weeks of PTO
