Description
Summary: We're seeking a Quality Coordinator to support and enhance quality processes across departments. This individual will collaborate with procurement and program management to track defects, address quality issues, and ensure alignment with customer expectations. As a key liaison, the Quality Coordinator influences quality decisions and drives improvements that balance operational needs with customer requirements.
Essential Job Functions
Quality
Serve as the primary liaison between the customer’s quality team and internal teams, facilitating improvements within the professional services team in alignment with customer standards. Work closely with customer systems engineers, Safety Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers.
Support the implementation and adaptation of quality improvement processes to achieve strategic quality objectives for custom-manufactured RF and switch matrix systems.
Assist in developing Lean processes by collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and enhance products and processes.
Participate in the nonconforming material process, including hands-on tasks such as sorting materials or products for processing, inventory, or shipments as needed.
Support the decision-making process on product acceptability without having sole authority over shipping decisions, working within a framework of team consensus and leadership input.
Contribute to the corrective action process, including 8D problem-solving. Initiate and maintain CAPAs for both internal and external non-conformance issues.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement to track and follow up on defects, facilitate root cause analysis, and communicate findings to project teams.
Process Documentation
Assist in developing and refining processes for the Aerospace and Defense custom manufacturing division.
Support the maintenance and evolution of team processes, ensuring they remain effective and up to date.
Provide expertise, training, and consultation on general quality improvement tools.
Ensure that internal teams get CAPAs/other quality documentation in a timely fashion to support their deliverables. Adhere to document control processes, including maintaining master lists, issuing document revisions, and facilitating documentation reviews. Manage document change control.
Develop and maintain a training tracker for documented processes

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of APQP and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Understanding of quality standards, defect tracking, and continuous improvement methodologies, with familiarity in root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and compliance requirements in regulated industries.
- Strong analytical skills to effectively identify, track, and address quality issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for influencing, guiding, and collaborating across departments without direct authority.
- Skilled in navigating cross-functional environments, facilitating consensus, and driving quality initiatives without sole decision-making authority.
- Adaptable to evolving quality requirements and process improvements, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Proficient in using computers, including MS Office Suite, with exposure to ERP systems as an advantage.
- Practical experience in electronic documentation and document control processes.
