Position Overview

SiteOne is seeking a visionary QA Manager to transform our quality assurance practices. This is a newly created, full-time strategic role for an innovative professional who will own the roadmap for testing automation and improve our testing efficiency across our complex enterprise environment.

This isn't a traditional QA role - we need someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, researching emerging technologies, and proactively bringing solutions to leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a team of QA analysts, fostering strong collaboration and driving high performance.
• Assess current QA processes, identify pain points, and lead the team in the implementation of process improvements.
• Collaborate with development and product leaders to create accountability for quality among the entire IT organization.
• Reduce automated test suite execution time through optimization and integrate with CI/CD pipelines for automated initiation.
• Expand automated test coverage to minimize manual testing requirements.
• Design and implement end-to-end integration testing across multiple enterprise systems.
• Evaluate emerging AI capabilities to expedite test case creation and maintenance.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to track automation efficiency improvements.
• Report progress and recommendations directly to senior leadership and demonstrate ROI on innovation initiatives.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and translate them into actionable improvements.
• Implement best practices, policies and procedures to optimize QA automation processes.
  
  

Skills We Are Seeking

• 5-7 years experience in QA.
• Degree in computer science, related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in QA automation, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience building and executing strategic roadmaps.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Strong expertise in automated test frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST-assured, etc.
• Experience programming with a modern language such as JavaScript, Typescript or Python.
• Strong understanding of SQL, API testing and Agile.
• Proficiency in defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test case management platforms.
• Strong expertise in assessing and improving development processes for improved quality. Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies including team building, self-confidence, results orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently with little supervision.
• Adeptness to learn new assignments, technologies and applications quickly and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Analytical skills necessary to evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into detailed, abstract low-level information to generate understanding and form an appropriate solution.
