This position reports to

Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead all on-site activities of medium to large projects. Each day, you will ensure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the site team, defining main guidelines, and allocating tasks.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in North America.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Oversee all phases of project lifecycle, from planning to execution, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Manage project financials, including budget tracking, cost control, and forecasting to ensure profitability and fiscal responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying key milestones and ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts to ensure high-performance outcomes.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate issues impacting project quality, cost, or timeline.
  • Drive the successful execution of complex, large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Track project progress, generate regular reports, and communicate key updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role

  • University degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineering industry, with at least 8 years in project management roles.
  • 20% travel expected
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
