The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to support the Healthy Weight Program, which focuses on improving health outcomes for children and families. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RN), Social Worker, Community Health Worker, Health Educator, or other healthcare professional with experience in patient education, care coordination, and community outreach.
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in delivering culturally responsive health education, connecting families to essential resources, and facilitating behavioral change to support healthy lifestyles. This position also involves guiding families through care navigation, leading group visits, and providing ongoing engagement through telephone check-ins. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will contribute to department-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing pediatric health services.

General Summary
Reporting to department physician leader(s) and administrator, responsible for facilitating project work by providing direction, leadership, and day-to-day management of department projects and initiatives. Must coordinate department projects, formulate needed enhancements for processes, and work with internal and external customers to successfully meet established goals and deadlines. Coordinator must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in working independently to complete projects and assignments.

- Connecting families to community resources to address barriers, needs, and facilitate behavior change
- Assisting families in navigating care and leading group visits as needed
- Conducting telephone check-ins to maintain family engagement in treatment
Education/Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree.
- One to three (1-3) years of project management/coordination experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Preferred experience as a RN, social worker, community health worker, health educator, etc
