Position Summary
A Program Therapist Lead is primarily responsible for providing supervision of other program therapists and program leadership within our Mental Health Services departments. This role is responsible for developing clinical programming to support safe, high quality, and exceptional care for children. The Program Therapist Lead works closely with other departments to facilitate program needs at a strategic level, and is accountable for program outcomes.
As a part of their clinical duties, this role will also conduct clinical assessments, provide therapeutic interventions, and care planning. This role may provide individual, group, or family therapy services, crisis intervention services, resource mobilization, or triage of psychosocial, emotional, or behavioral concerns as needed. The Program Therapist collaborates with other members of the multi-disciplinary care team to develop treatment goals, assess performance towards goals, and complete discharge or transition planning as indicated.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

License/Certification/Registration:
- Licensed in the State of Minnesota (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC) required
- BLS required
- Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical counseling is required
Required:
- Two years as a program therapist or similar experience providing counseling in a health care or related pediatric setting.
- Experience providing clinical supervision to non-independently licensed clinicians or willingness to develop competency.
- Experience with clinician management and/or leadership in program development.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to exercise independent judgement and work autonomously.
- Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinic or hospital environment.
- Willingness to participate in clinical supervision.
- Exhibits a high degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to assess and provide intervention services to children and adolescents in acute crisis / experiencing suicidal ideation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
