BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Program Quality Engineer who will be a member of a cross-functional program team within the Advanced Compact Electronic-Warfare Solutions (ACES) Product Line’s Development Portfolio. The Program Quality Engineer will support a fast-paced Engineering Manufacturing and Development (EMD) program and will act as a leader and mentor for supporting program quality engineer(s).
The Program Quality Engineer should have development program experience and is expected to contribute to program performance, verification of product/process conformance and customer satisfaction by providing technical expertise and leadership for executing product assurance engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. The individual selected for this position will be an experienced leader in planning, documenting and implementing typical Quality and Software Quality Assurance functional responsibilities such as but not limited to: applying statistical techniques and continuous improvement tools on process, product, and program performance data; supporting source selection and monitoring of critical subcontractors and suppliers; establishing a verification and validation process for the inspection and acceptance of product hardware, product software, and data deliverables; facilitating project risk and opportunities process; initiating, facilitating, managing, and validating the effectiveness of root cause analysis, corrective, and preventative actions; and support project tailoring, project plan/documentation development, and other activities to establish the project's execution processes.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 4-6+ years work experience or 8-10+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Hardware &/or Software Quality experience
- Self-starting problem solver with a fact-based focus on continuous improvement, and a demonstrated history of leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others in dynamic, highly diverse, cross discipline teams; experience working, interfacing and interrelating with diverse personnel both operational and technical
- Strong and demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communication within group/team environment)
- Strong understanding and ability to drive successful completion of Root Cause Corrective Action (8D or equivalent) problem solving methodology
- Must have experience in facilitation and supporting Audits
- Experience in collaborating with internal and external Customers
- Either currently possesses and/or previously held in the past 5 years a Secret level Security Clearance
- Certification and experience with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, MIL-STD-883 methods 2010, 2017, 2032, MIL-STD-750
- AS9100
- Prior Quality Assurance Engineering Responsibilities
- Experience in Software Quality Assurance
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditing Course or Lead Auditor Certification preferred
- Hands on Experience in a Defense Electronics Prime Contract Environment
- Prior experience supporting Engineering Manufacturing & Development (EMD) Programs
- Experience with PAperless, Net-Inspect, TIPQA, and Oracle applications
- Lean Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt Certification
- Strong working knowledge of AS9102 Industry Standard
- Experience with executing AS9145 process and tools
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
