The Program Manager Patient Safety Nurse Health Plan is responsible for developing and maintaining the patient safety program in collaboration with the quality team to ensure compliance with contractual and accreditation standards.
- Assist in reviewing patient safety medical records, preparing summaries for Medical Director and Peer Review Committee monthly.
- Coordinate peer review meetings, prepare materials, document minutes, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide feedback to providers, facilities, network, and credentialing departments to enhance patient safety efforts.
- Develop educational activities for staff and providers to promote patient safety and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify trends, barriers, and strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce readmissions, and optimize documentation.
- Conduct routine assessments, evaluate procedures, and ensure all required patient safety reporting is completed.
- Track progress, suggest action plans for deviations, and facilitate communication across departments.
- Qualifications include an associate degree in nursing (bachelor's preferred), RN licensure, at least 2 years of EMR experience, and 4 years of clinical experience preferred.
- This is a full-time role requiring active collaboration and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
