What is the role about?
The MRP Scheduler, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, is responsible for developing and optimizing production plans to align with company goals, customer demand, and capacity constraints. This role ensures efficient resource utilization and maintains supply chain integrity. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, assertive, vocal, forward-thinking, and an ambitious self-starter with a strong understanding of MRP and ERP systems, as well as manufacturing processes.

What is the role about?
The MRP Scheduler, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, is responsible for developing and optimizing production plans to align with company goals, customer demand, and capacity constraints. This role ensures efficient resource utilization and maintains supply chain integrity. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, assertive, vocal, forward-thinking, and an ambitious self-starter with a strong understanding of MRP and ERP systems, as well as manufacturing processes.
Which tasks will you perform?
You will:
- Release work order packages to shop floor based on sales orders or other demand triggers.
- Determines production priorities. Reviews all customers expedite requests and proposed orders booked at less than lead-time to balance production capability and business plan objectives with customer needs.
- Update and maintain accurate planning information and parameters in MRP System to drive accurate demand and information.
- Daily monitoring of work in process and analyze production data to identify and communicate. potential bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Resolve material & component shortages and create requisitions in as needed.
- Responsible for assuring that the promised dates booked to the customer are attained.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Collaborate with cross functional groups, such as Supply Chain, Production, Industrial Engineering and Quality to resolve issues that might potentially impact on-time delivery.
- Applies and may lead continuous improvement initiatives to resolve moderately complex issues or process improvements
- Collects and provides KPI’s and historic data to support metrics to inform planning decisions and create visibility to drive site improvements.
You:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in sophisticated planning and scheduling software such as SAP.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of production processes and supply chain dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively assess, lead, and implement continuous improvement methods (e.g., pull systems, Kanban)
- Capability working with Microsoft Office; proficient in Excel formulas, look-ups and pivot tables.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- APICS certified in Planning & Inventory Management.
- Being Self-Motivated and relying on own strengths to accomplish goals.
- Ability to build team through respect and taking justifiable risks. Implementing feedback when areas of need are identified.
