The Back-End Production Lead oversees day-to-day operations of Bev-Hub’s back-end production area, including the Sleever Station, Cartoner, Tray Packager, and Palletizer. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant flow of finished product from the retort exit through palletization. The Back-End Production Lead coordinates staffing, monitors equipment function, upholds food-safety and quality standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

- Oversee daily operations at all back-end stations to maintain proper line flow and prevent bottlenecks.
- Set up each station according to production schedule (SKUs, sleeves, cartons, trays, patterns).
- Train, coach, and guide operators; assign personnel to stations based on skills and operational needs.
- Verify product quality: correct sleeves or printed-can routing, proper cartoner settings, tray integrity, accurate case counts, correct pallet patterns, and label accuracy.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, equipment startup/shutdown, and escalate mechanical issues to Maintenance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, sanitation expectations, safety rules, and appearance standards (per employee handbook).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring hazards are identified and addressed promptly.
- Track and communicate material needs (sleeves, cartons, trays, glue, pallet sheets, stretch wrap).
- Complete daily reporting: production counts, rejects, downtime events, scrap, and quality deviations.
- Communicate effectively during shift handoffs to ensure continuity between crews.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with mechanical equipment, noise, and continuous movement.
- Willingness to adhere to PPE requirements, hair/beard nets, and other appearance standards outlined in the employee handbook.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including overtime or schedule adjustments based on production needs.
- Ability to follow safety rules, including proper use of equipment and compliance with lockout/tagout expectations at the operator/lead level.
- Ability to work well with others and fix or communicate issues in a timely manner

- Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
- Position will normally be a set schedule however, the ability to work a flexible work week or workday schedule based on operational needs is required.
- The ability to recognize different personalities and be able to communicate instructions or feedback clearly and positively.
- Demonstrated understanding and practical production run experience in multiple process including but not limited to:
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift, depending on production schedule.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs routinely (e.g., trays, carton cases, materials).
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and twist regularly throughout the shift.
- Ability to access equipment platforms as required for adjustments or inspections.
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and constant movement.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions (e.g., guiding materials, adjusting equipment, manual checks).
- Visual acuity sufficient to identify defects, read labels/pallet patterns, and monitor equipment indicators.
