seca is growing its sales team and is looking for a Product Manager Medical & Fitness for its US branch in Charleston, SC.

About The Job

The U.S. market is one of the most important focus markets for seca. Therefore, identifying and incorporating U.S. market unique trends, specific customer needs and changing regulatory requirements in the medical and fitness segments into our value proposition creation process, is crucial for a successful solution portfolio.

This role shall ensure this alignment, by being directly based in U.S. and in the same time part of the global product management team located in HQ Hamburg-Germany.

The Product Manager will not only collaborate with the global product management team but will also work closely with other functions such as sales, service, development, regulatory, quality, and marketing.

What You Will Get To Do

  • Act as the primary representative of the U.S. market within the global product management team
  • Identify , prioritize, and share U.S.-specific insights on medical and fitness market trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct targeted market research for both medical professionals and fitness providers and consumers in the U.S., ensuring gained insights shape the global product vision and roadmap.
  • Define, validate and advocate for value propositions, features, user experience elements, and compliance factors that enhance the value of our portfolio for U.S. medical and fitness customers, supporting our growth ambitions in the market.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing to ensure launch strategies do emphasize product benefits for U.S. medical and fitness customers, contributing to the global go-to-market approach.
  • The role will cover the entire seca portfolio including medical scales and measuring systems, with a higher focus on body composition software and hardware solutions.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally within the U.S. medical or fitness technology industry.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate market opportunities, create business cases, and define strategies that drive value for U.S. medical and fitness markets.
  • Proven experience collaborating with global product teams and influencing product roadmaps to reflect regional market needs in medical and/or fitness applications.
  • Understanding of U.S. medical device regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) and familiarity with fitness/wellness product regulations is a plus.
  • Analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making, market research, and understanding of needs specific to both clinical and consumer wellness sectors.
  • Good project management skills with a track record of managing projects on time.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build consensus across global teams.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly present U.S. market insights to a global audience.

  • Charleston, CT; travelling of max. 20% within US sales territory. Initial travel to seca Headquarters in Germany with a stay of approx.. 2 weeks for onboarding
