Our team is dedicated to making YouTube the most trusted platform for families with younger viewers. In this role, you will own the content experience for millions of families around the world who use the YouTube and YouTube Kids app. You'll be responsible for delivering safe, high quality, delightful content in Search and Discovery by leading product work from corpus definition to classifier development to Search and Discovery treatments and improvements.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in consumer tech product management.
- Experience driving product launches within machine learning, AI or content recommendations products.
- Experience driving elements of the product development life-cycle (e.g. identifying user needs, product roadmap, product requirements, collaborating with engineering during development and addressing issues that arise, product launch and Go-to-Market, etc.).
- Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
- 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, business, finance, and other stakeholders.
- Experience related to improving safety or quality in content.
- Experience working on kids and family related products.
- Experience with experiment design (e.g., counterfactuals, holdbacks, interpretation, etc.). and identifying new opportunities through user research and product analysis.

Responsibilities
- Work with User Research, Partnerships, Marketing, and Trust and Safety to identify user needs and define a multi-year goals for YouTube Kids app and for Made-for-Kids content in Main app that surfaces the best content YouTube has to offer.
- Develop corpus logic to ensure safety while maximizing content coverage across Made-for-Kids videos. Develop safety classifiers and apply these signals in Discovery and Search.
- Drive the application of kids quality signals to video content recommendations for Made for Kids videos.
- Partner with policy development and Trust and Safety enforcement to ensure Made For Kids ecosystem compliance.
