Duties
- Develop and execute product line strategies based on consumer insights, market trends, and business objectives
- Build and manage assortment plans across categories, ensuring the right product mix for ecommerce-driven growth
- Negotiate vendor agreements, pricing, and terms to optimize margin and profitability
- Partner with planning and inventory management teams to ensure proper forecasting, replenishment, and allocation strategies
- Collaborate with ecommerce, site merchandising, and marketing teams to drive conversion and online sales performance
- Monitor competitive landscape, pricing trends, and emerging categories to inform product and pricing strategies
- Analyze sales data, margin performance, and customer behavior to make data-backed buying decisions
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including new product launches, seasonal resets, and exit strategies
- Build strong vendor relationships to secure exclusives, first-to-market opportunities, and innovation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Buyer, Merchandiser, or Product Line Manager, ideally at a large retailer with significant ecommerce operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make profitable decisions
- Deep understanding of ecommerce merchandising, digital sales levers, and omnichannel retail strategies
- Proven negotiation skills and vendor management experience
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with shifting priorities
