Job Summary/ Scope:

The Product Analyst is responsible for supporting the end-to-end product strategy from product ideation (“sunrise”) through go to market and, when necessary, product discontinuation (“sunset”).  In this role, you will use all available information and data to identify product opportunities and assist the brands in developing the 3 year innovation roadmaps. The Product Analyst will be tasked with analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes and item productivity. This role is cross functional in nature, requiring collaboration with multiple departments including, but not limited to: Brand, Sales, Product Development, Planning and Finance.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Support new product strategies defined by brand teams that support a 3 year innovation roadmap. based on consumer insights, industry trends, proprietary innovative technology, and competitive sales data to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Understand product specifications to inform stakeholders about features and benefits.
  • Support all brands to ensure the product specifications are uploaded and accurately represented in Salsify/internal systems and price positioning guidelines for the brand are followed.
  • Leverages Circana, CMI, and other data to identify market opportunities and make recommendations to support the NPD-GTM process.
  • Perform market analysis, competitive research, and stay aware of the latest market/industry trends by attending relevant webinars, reading industry reports, and conducting quarterly retail store visits across channels of distribution.
  • Be the lead in transferring factory pricing to departmental templates for review.
  • Be the lead communicator in new item releases and running changes via Salsify.
  • Be the lead in requesting, managing, approving, and providing product samples for retailer meetings on programs that are in development.
  • Support consumer research projects
  • Project-specific initiatives as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent job experience is preferred.
  • 1 year experience in housewares, retail or product development/category management is preferred.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of integrity, credibility, sense of urgency and common sense.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and the Internet.
  • Time management skills and the ability to multitask. 
  • Organizational and project management skills to meet deadlines is essential.
  • Working Conditions:

    Work is performed primarily indoors, although some outdoor tasks are required.  Lighting is artificial.  Equipment used includes standard office equipment i.e. computer, copy machine. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, use of both hands.  Hours and days are primarily Monday through Friday, with some evenings and weekends.  Position requires close contact with Meyer employees and vendors.

     

    $68,640 to $80,000, DOE
