About The Role & Team

The Producer I is responsible for providing product guidance and support to internal and external partners for games across mobile, console, and PC gaming platforms based on the 20th Century brand.

The successful candidate will be key in supporting and managing the production process of the partner’s vision. Skillsets include external partner onboarding and management, collaborating and coordinating ideation, project tracking, managing all internal/external product communication and product deliverables, overseeing milestone reviews, collaboration with other business units, production/content approvals, & management of live service support.

Other production work will entail providing clearly communicated feedback on game proposals, project schedules, and content roadmaps, coordinating feedback/approvals from internal game designers and art directors, as well as franchise partners for games based on 20th Century and TWDC franchises.

The Producer I will primarily work on multiple small to medium scale products, support live service/live operated titles where applicable, and additionally assist the Senior Producer in the management of larger projects.

The ideal candidate is a self-starting team-player who can draw upon their background as both a passionate gamer and an established game-maker. Able to clearly articulate feedback and communicate information to external partners and internal stakeholders, this person can identify opportunities and challenges in the production process and help the organization manage a portfolio of games based on 20th Century Games IP; primarily based on 20th Century TV Animation and television properties, as well as iconic 20th Century Films.

This role may occasionally require on-site support with external development partners with domestic and international travel.

You will report to the Senior Producer

What You Will Do:

Game Production


  • Driving assigned titles within 20th Century Games and being the day-to-day contact for those projects. Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with internal and external cross-functional groups to ensure maximum brand equity in 20th Century properties and to deliver high quality/brand-enhancing products that meet franchise, financial and schedule goals.
  • Analyze and track product development schedules, perform milestone reviews, track all submissions, and submit weekly progress reports on each assigned title.
  • Review and analyze feedback generated by creative team members and the senior team, including periodic self-review of gameplay builds on partner submissions covering all aspects of the product, including art direction, gameplay, and franchise feedback and approval. The Producer I is responsible for obtaining consensus across stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with members of the Production team to collaborate with partners on new interactive product concepts, including conceptual design and game identity.
  • Present product demos as necessary to peers, management, and other internal stakeholders.


Brand & Franchise Management


  • Provide brand guidance to external partners, balancing the needs of the game and the authenticity of the 20th Century Franchise’s characters and worlds, ultimately becoming a subject matter expert that partners can rely on.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure maximum brand equity in 20th Century IP that deliver innovative, high quality, brand-enhancing products across art, sound, story, and game design.


Required Qualifications & Skills


  • 2+ years of experience specifically in the production of Console/Mobile/PC games or other entertainment.
  • Previous experience interfacing with partners/developers, understanding team structures and roles, production pipelines, and common challenges in producing high-quality interactive products.
  • A practical understanding of all phases of development: concept, pre-production, production and post-production/live-service with a creative eye able to communicate game ideas and improvements to our partners.
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects at different stages of development using strong negotiation, change management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to identify and assess risks and strategies to mitigate and escalate as necessary.
  • Team player with a sense of ownership, flexibility, and urgency with the ability to make confident, intelligent and difficult decisions that reflect a solid understanding of the business goals and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on building productive relationships with external partners, managers and peers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with asset tracking software and how those are used to route approvals through a film/TV pipeline. Experience with AirTable, Sharepoint, MS Teams is helpful.
  • A passion for the latest games and game platforms (Mobile, Console, PC).
  • Familiarity with 20th Century Franchises, including Live Action Films, 20th TV and TV Animation, FX, National Geographic, and others.
  • Additional experience working with licensed products is welcomed as is any experience working with Live Service operations.


Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $87,100 to $116,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
