Key Responsibilities
- Engage in ongoing communication with team members and management regarding processes and procedures, while exploring potential options for process enhancements.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of operations from scrap preparation to billet handling and from billet reheat to final product, identifying opportunities for improvement within the melt shop and rolling mills.
- Drive the identification and implementation of process improvements and systems, measuring impacts to optimize each stage of production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster knowledge exchange and develop best practices.
- Conduct training sessions as necessary to share expertise and improve team capabilities.
- Focus on enhancing safety measures throughout all processes.
- Maintain professional industry relationships and participate in relevant professional associations.
- Proven analytical abilities to assess and enhance processes and systems.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with employees and management.
- Experience in conducting training sessions and sharing industry knowledge.
- Familiarity with safety practices in manufacturing settings.
- Problem-solving aptitude to identify and implement equipment upgrades.
- Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, particularly within the steel or metal industries.
- Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
