As a Process Analyst at GEICO, you will work closely with business stakeholders to analyze data and drive business insights for process improvements. Your role will involve identifying inefficiencies, developing solutions, and implementing changes to enhance operational performance. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our processes are optimized to support the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • RESEARCHES current state of processes related to underwriting decisions and customer interactions. DOCUMENTS and PRESENTS analysis with process maps and other techniques.
  • ANALYZES standardization, automation, execution, usability, quality and training when determining solutions and root causes.
  • INTERPRETS technical systems documentation, filings, guidelines and/or other resources to identify root cause and scope.
  • CONDUCTS cost and value analysis and IDENTIFIES opportunities to improve underwriting results and procedures.
  • Create detailed reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes.
  • CONDUCTS detailed systems research in production and lower environments for understanding underwriting processes.
  • WORKS with intra- and cross-departmental teams to gather data and to define metrics, guidelines and strategies for effective use data.
  • UTILIZES basic quantitative analysis techniques to drive decision making. INTERPRETS and PRESENTS data findings creatively in a variety of formats.
  • RECOMMENDS and IMPLEMENTS training, process changes, modifications to business rules, implementation of new technology, or a combination of all four for underwriting projects.
  • DEVELOPS business requirements in partnership with Tech org and DEVELOPS use cases for testing/validation pre- and post-implementation.
  • ASSESSES reference materials for usability and design. CREATES improved materials based on review and IMPLEMENTS updates for reference material, including underwriting guidelines and information management.
  • PRESENTS and DEFENDS recommendations to all levels of the organization in clear business language.
  • WORKS with stakeholders to obtain approvals and IDENTIFIES all impacted areas for training and communication needs.
  • DEVELOPS monitoring and control plans, project plans and detailed and complete requirements and works with Tech org and other business partners to implement changes.
  • ASSISTS with training new analysts on key functions.
  • ADHERES to the Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles.
  • MEETS attendance standard at business location to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with management and co-workers.

Qualifications

Pass an analytical skills exam and complete pre-work

Ability to work in cross-functional teams

Highly motivated and driven to impact the results of the company

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment

Must be able to multi-task

Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information

Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and SAS.

Preferred Qualifications

CPCU certification or progress toward certification

Bachelor's degree or actively pursuing

Annual Salary

$65,600.00 - $129,150.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
