The Cell Line Development department at Amgen, Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow with extensive experience in molecular biology, cellular engineering, and protein expression to join their team!
The Cell Line Development group is responsible for the generation of highly productive manufacturing cell lines for Amgens rich and diverse large molecule pipeline. We are currently exploring novel ways to improve the expression of complex molecules in Cell Line Development. This involves a better understanding of translational regulation differences of multi-specific modalities. The Postdoctoral Fellow will employ their molecular biology and cellular engineering expertise and work cross functionally with groups across Amgen to develop high-production cell lines for Amgens large molecule pipeline, while having opportunities to publish discoveries in peer-reviewed journals.
The assignment length is expected to be 2 years long.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $82,000.00. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

Basic Qualifications
- PhD at time of appointment in a life science or engineering field
- The successful candidate is a highly motivated and ambitious expert in cellular biology and protein expression with a strong publication record.
- They have direct experience with modern molecular biology techniques that encompass DNA sequencing, mRNA quantification, and protein detection. Experience with protein translation characterization, such as with ribosome profiling, is a plus.
- Experience with cell culture, mammalian cell expression, bioinformatic analysis of large datasets, and next-generation genome editing techniques to modify cellular performance is preferred.
- Proven experience showing they can work efficiently in a cross functional, multidiscipline team structure and ability to implement projects independently is highly desired.
