Job Summary
The PLM Engineer II provides intermediate-level technical expertise to support and enhance Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and related infrastructure. This role is responsible for system configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions, assist with system upgrades, and ensure application reliability. This position requires both independent execution of technical tasks and contribution to team projects. Additionally, the Engineer II helps identify process improvements and supports compliance with company standards and policies.

Job Summary

Additionally, the Engineer II helps identify process improvements and supports compliance with company standards and policies.
Essential Duties
System Administration & Maintenance:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PLM systems, including CAD, PDM, and ERP-related applications
- Assist with system integration, testing, and upgrades
- Conduct routine monitoring and validation of system health and performance
- Deploy devices, peripherals, and system components as required
- Work with engineers, analysts, and end-users to resolve technical issues
- Support user training and create clear documentation
- Contribute to cross-functional projects related to PLM applications
- Analyze system data to support recommendations for process improvements
- Research industry trends and provide input on potential technology enhancements
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.
Qualifications
Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Preferred: N/A
- 2 - 4 years of relevant IT or engineering systems experience, with at least 1 year in PLM support or administration
- Working knowledge of PLM systems such as CAD, PDM, ERP
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) with ability to support end-users
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Willingness to work extended or off-hours, including weekends, as needed
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Alignment to Panasonic’s seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)
- Experience in a manufacturing or enterprise IT environment
- Familiarity with database management (SQL, Oracle)
- Exposure to project management or system upgrade initiatives
- PLM-related certification (in progress or completed)
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent
