About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead the Versalift Southwest Installation Operations team. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing the full aerial lift installation process—ensuring that our equipment is built to the highest standards, delivered on time, and exceeds customer expectations. Based in Waco, TX, this position will lead all aspects of the production floor, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Manage daily operations of the plant, including production, quality control, and maintenance.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop plant personnel, including supervisors, operators, and support staff. Foster a positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards by overseeing quality control processes, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any quality issues.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma projects.
  • Budget Management: Oversee plant budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. Analyze financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials while minimizing excess stock and associated costs.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Reporting: Build out KPI’s and Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, quality issues, and safety incidents, to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of success managing plant operations, team leadership and process improvement.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft office
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
    • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP or MRP systems).
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
