Who You Are

As a Philanthropic Services Loan Operations Specialist, you have an eye for detail and passion for people. You will oversee the process of large and complex loans, from application to preparation, ensuring top-quality service throughout the entire loan origination process. You love communicating with others and will do so as an acting liaison between the borrower, underwriters, Foundation Board, Voters, or Trustee(s). You welcome a challenge and strive to contentiously improve processes with integrity, caring and excellence in mind.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the process of large and complex loans, from application to preparation, ensuring top-quality service throughout the entire loan origination process
• Manage the payback process and reconciliation procedures of accounts
• Act as the point of contact for addressing any escalated complex questions related to loans
• Maintain contact with borrowers, the Foundation Board, Voters or Trustee(s) to effectively collect documentation and ensure the compilation of comprehensive loan files for underwriting assessments and closing
• Analyze the borrower’s credit, income, creditworthiness and present the gathered data to the Foundation Board, Voters or Trustee(s) for approval
• Utilize subject matter expertise to ensure the organization is adhering to current internal policy and State/Federal lending regulations
• Address loan processing issues and obtain clarifications as needed to ensure loan files are fully documented prior to underwriting
• Act as a liaison between the borrower, underwriters, Foundation Board, Voters, or Trustee(s) to ensure seamless communication throughout the entire life cycle of the loan
• Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
  
  

What You’ll Need

• 1+ years of loan processing experience or 2+ years loan operations experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of basic lending regulatory guidelines
• Proficiency with Microsoft computer application
  
  

Additional Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience with Shaw loan applications or CICS
• Student loan processing work experience
• Knowledge of legal documents related to Student Loans
