The UC Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences is the first public pharmacy school in the Los Angeles-Orange County region. Its faculty and programs span a continuum from discovery, development, and delivery of new drugs, devices, and diagnostics all the way to optimizing medication therapy in patients and patient populations. As part of the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences, we actively collaborate with schools and programs in medicine, nursing, and population, public health, and the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute to educate, train, and mentor the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists and clinical pharmacists. The school's mission is to be a driving force for advancing health and wellness of individuals and society.
Your Role on the Team
Applies extensive knowledge of professional health education programs and policies to manage program administration and operations, which may include teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking learner compliance, and program accreditation Participates in strategizing, planning, and implementation of substantial program improvements of large scope and high degrees of complexity.
Serves as the subject matter expert for the Office of Education partnering with the Associate Dean of Pharmacy Education in oversight of all educational outcomes in compliance with organizational objectives and nationally accepted accreditation standards and requirements. May supervise a small team of staff. Leads the development and implementation of programmatic activities, including oversight of curriculum, requirements, and educational activities in designing, conducting, promoting, evaluating and supporting the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) didactic and co-curricular educational programs. Uses data and analytics to identify, analyze, and resolve a wide range of educational issues and applies project management principles and practices to achieve results in academic setting. Oversees the Pharmacy Education/Curriculum Committee activities and those of its subgroups. Develops and manages processes to support students, faculty, and leaders in areas such as curriculum, teaching and learning activities, scheduling, core competencies, assessments, and evaluations. Manages all activities associated with ongoing administration of the program, maintaining databases and educational technology software platforms. Serves as a liaison between all relevant stakeholders, which may include external departments, course coordinators, program directors, department chairs, contractors, school administration, faculty, and students.

- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Master's degree in related area preferred
- A minimum of 7 years of experience
- In-depth knowledge of data management, documentation methods used in investigating and presenting findings about the program.
