The Permit Coordinator handles permitting tasks for PV and PV+Storage systems. Responsibilities include assembling documents, submitting applications, and working with internal teams and local jurisdictions to ensure timely permitting. This role supports consistent installation readiness.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain and track permit statuses in line with SLAs
- Contact cities/counties for updates, costs, and jurisdiction checks
- Route and support Permit Technicians; coordinate daily progress
- Prepare and submit permit applications (electronic/hard copy)
- Upload approved plans, job cards, and corrections to CRM/ERP
- Use BI tools to prioritize workload and address permit queues
- Escalate issues as needed to management
- Request, track, and return permit-related checks
- Submit accurate expense reports weekly
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Education & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with city permitting or clerical work
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills (DocuSign, Adobe, Outlook, Excel)
- Organized and self-motivated
- Strong multitasking and customer service skills
- Reliable attendance and team collaboration
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Long periods of sitting and computer use
- Frequent standing, filing, and handling documents
- Occasional lifting (5–10 lbs)
- Clear verbal and written communication required
