Pay Rate: $17.28/hour + housing stipend

The People Operations Intern will assist the department with a wide range of projects related to People Ops compliance, recruiting, onboarding and employee benefits. In this position, the intern will learn how to apply skills acquired in school to a professional setting.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Update internal databases with employee information such as contact details and employment forms.
  • Learn about the company’s policies, employee benefits, and other People Ops -related matters to be able to respond to any internal staff inquiries
  • Participate in organizing company events and activities (planning, setup, staffing)
  • Prepare materials and craft content for employee communications using Canva, PowerPoint, Home Plate (company Intranet) and other related software
  • Post job advertisements to internal job board
  • Support onboarding for part-time game day and front office staff
  • Audit I-9 forms and ensure all documents are filed accurately and remain confidential
  • Assist with the employee Wellness Program
  • Answer high volume of calls throughout the day and occasionally cover the reception desk
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources team
  • Help support People Ops team with Dodgers employee incentives (FPIC, Sell-Out Cookies)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements/Qualifications

  • Positive and friendly demeanor
  • Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking
  • Reliable and personable; enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met first
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and handling files and records
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License, with a verifiable safe driving record, and safely operate a company supplied motor vehicle, daily, for duties related to this position
  • Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
  • Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 3-month program during the summer months
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Passionate about working for a professional sports team
  • Proactive and out of the box thinking
