LifeSource is hiring a Paralegal to work with in-house General Counsel concerning corporate and healthcare legal matters. Key responsibilities include contract review and management, managing litigation and investigation matters, and oversight of corporate compliance. They also provide support with all tasks under the purview of the General Counsel. This is an exciting opportunity and a new role to our organization.
As a Paralegal, you'll advance our lifesaving mission by performing the following duties:
Contract Management Support
1.0 FTE (40 hours/week). Primarily Monday-Friday, business hours (between 8am-5pm). Primary scheduled hours are during normal business hours but may flex to accommodate organizational needs. This will be hybrid in Minneapolis, with the expectation of 3 days per week on-site.
Projected offer rate range: $35-44/hour, based on years of relevant experience and education.

As a Paralegal, you'll advance our lifesaving mission by performing the following duties:
Contract Management Support
- Conducts initial review and drafting of contracts with vendors, hospitals, research organizations, transplant centers, and others.
- Assists in the administration of contract management system.
- Fields questions, generates reports, quality checks the input of all documents, culls expired documents, assists in education of team members.
- Provides comprehensive administrative support to the General Counsel, including preparing and editing documents and presentations, and file management.
- Manages and maintains awareness of the General Counsel’s schedule, including facilitating scheduling and proactive preparing for forthcoming meetings.
- Create timelines and action plans for deliverables and scheduling meetings and preparing necessary data and resources in advance of these meetings as required.
- Serves as primary point of contact for general inquiries and/or project-specific information when the General Counsel is unavailable.
- Provides feedback and follow-up to the General Counsel in a timely manner.
- Drafts and files corporate legal documents as required.
- Drafts corporate resolutions, agreement amendments and addendums, and correspondence.
- Provides support for Board of Director functions and meetings, including drafting agendas, maintaining minutes, and preparing resolutions.
- Organizes board files and ensures accessibility.
- Assists General Counsel with legal research tasks using online databases and legal research tools.
- Summarizes and organizes research findings for use.
- Supports General Counsel in responding to discovery requests, records requests, and subpoenas by compiling, reviewing and redacting documents as directed and maintaining databases.
- Requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years in paralegal, law, legal services, or related field.
- CP, MnCP, or AACP certification preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and practices, legal research techniques, legal terminology, and legal communication principles and practices.
- Understanding of local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment and ability to solve problems amid uncertainty and shifting priorities.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn and navigate new software, web portals and other technologies with minimal to no guidance.
- Exceptional editing, written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with strong attention to detail and talent for process development and improvement.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering cross-functional partnerships.
- Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or
