Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) is currently seeking an Operations Specialist to join our Huntsville, AL. team. This position will be location on Redstone Arsenal.
Job Requirements
- Coordinate the setup of new projects and tasks, ensuring all necessary resources, personnel, and documentation are in place for successful execution.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all requirements across a variety of contract types, serving as a key liaison between program management and contractors.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly program reports by gathering data, compiling information, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Support the review and approval process for contractor-submitted travel requests and invoices, verifying accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.
- Track and maintain records of all contractually required training and certifications for team members to ensure continuous compliance and readiness.
- Participate in regular program meetings to provide operational updates, document key decisions, and track action items through to completion.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned to support overall program and mission success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for personnel and human resources actions, including the coordination of in-processing and out-processing for all employees.
- Manage and coordinate all manpower requirements and Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) actions, ensuring the organization is appropriately staffed to meet mission objectives.
- Coordinate daily facilities and operational logistics, including managing requests for security badges and SIPR (Secret Internet Protocol Router) network access to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
- Maintain and configure the organization's manpower database to accurately reflect current staffing levels, vacancies, and organizational structure.
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- High School diploma with some college preferred.
- Must be a US citizen.
- 8+ years of Operations or Office support.
- Must have a strong work ethic and be able to take instruction and maintain personal integrity.
- Being able to maintain confidentiality is a must.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities with close attention to detail is a must.
- Must be efficient utilizing Microsoft suite.
- Must be a resident of the Huntsville area or be willing to relocate.
