Position Summary
Reliable and proactive Shift Supervisor to oversee the operations of our monitoring station during assigned shifts. The Shift Supervisor will ensure that monitoring activities are conducted efficiently and safely, manage staff, and respond to incidents as they arise. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of operational performance.

Position Summary

This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of operational performance.
Pay
- $25-$28 per hour
- Onsite at our Yakima location ( 408 S. 2nd St., Yakima, WA 98901)
- In this position, you will be supervising a team of around 10 dispatchers.
Supervision & Leadership- 35%
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of monitoring staff during assigned shifts.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members and between shifts.
- Assist in scheduling and resource allocation to optimize staff coverage.
- Taking on-call /inclement weather shifts when needed.
- Data entry training of staff, with implementation of new processes as needed.
- Verification of data entry, functioning as second verification layer (unless staffing permits).
- Act as quality control agent for Data Entry.
- Processing of all Deletion requests, with all associated protocols and safeguards.
- Manages the account number Blocks-book and polices its use.
- Monitor equipment and system performance, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Records equipment testing data.
- Records and facilitates testing of generator.
- Coordination of I.T. notifications /updates / maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to operational protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Accesses audio recording and relevant reports, to ensure the quality of the monitoring services.
- Support and contribute to special initiatives and collaborative projects across departments, as assigned by leadership
Education And/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in management or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a monitoring station or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in monitoring systems and operational management software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
