That’s Where You Come in as a New Business Consultant
As a New Business Consultant, you’ll be an ambassador of Blue Ridge Associates to welcome and onboard new clients. You will work closely with client partners and trusted advisors to successfully coordinate the onboarding process, partner with the Sales team to build strong relationships with our partners, and ensure exceptional and timely service every step of the way.
Job Overview:
A New Business Consultant is primarily responsible for supporting the sales department and onboarding new clients. This position reports to our Director of Client Experience. Excellent customer service, an ability to complete workload in a timely manner, sales and marketing skills, and a commitment to professional development are critical aspects to success in this position.

Your Responsibilities Include:
Sales Support, Client Onboarding, and Plan Conversions:
- Reach out to new clients and referral sources to welcome them to Blue Ridge
- Gather necessary information to set up the new clients on Blue Ridge systems
- Coordinate onboarding process with investment companies and referral sources
- Prepare service agreements for prospective clients and referral sources
- Assist in developing new referral sources and maintain strong relationships with existing referral sources (advisors, CPAs, etc.)
- Networking and relationship development with referral partners (investment company wholesalers, DCIO wholesalers, etc.)
- Be an advocate for Blue Ridge in all interactions
- Coordinate and implement investment company conversions for existing clients
- Continue to be a resource to clients and Blue Ridge staff on sold business
- Stay abreast of the latest retirement plan rules and regulations (research topics, attend webcasts, department meetings, pursue credentials, continuing education, etc.)
- Identify opportunities for improvements to our company
- Participate in working groups to enhance Blue Ridge’s work product and internal processes
- Help other Blue Ridge employees when needed
- Maintain Blue Ridge’s tools, TSCNet, etc.
- Affect changes that benefit Blue Ridge
Requirements

Requirements:
- 2+ years of direct 401(k) plan administration or onboarding experience
- Must be within driving distance of Maple Grove, MN
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Skilled in sales and marketing
- Ability to manage workloads
- Enthusiasm for learning and professional development
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
