Job Description

Network Engineer - Hybrid

We are developing a new cyber range for a very important new client. In this role, you'll be working with the team to design, develop, and maintain, the cyber range for red team members including CNO developers, test engineers, and HW/SW engineers. Come be part of the Cyber Warfare and Special Programs and Systems teams at Parsons! Note: this is a HYBRID position!

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and architecting complex computer networks within the cyber range, ensuring it mirrors real-world environments
• Managing and maintaining range infrastructure, including physical and virtual equipment, networking, and virtualization technologies
• Ensure that security tools, such as firewalls and security monitoring platforms, are properly configured and integrated into the range.
• Set up and manage traffic generators and attack generators to simulate realistic user behaviors and attack scenarios
• Troubleshoot and maintain the cyber range components, ensuring its functionality and reliability.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the cyber range meets their requirements
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• BS degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or related field and 8+ years of related professional experience
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Proficient in Linux
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including DNS, DHCP, NTP, Syslog, etc
• Experience with configuring and administering networking devices like firewalls, switches, and routers
• Experience with managing virtualized infrastructure and building networks with virtual equipment
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools, configurations, and operational tools
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Batch, and Python, as well as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose network and system issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with red teaming, pen testing, CNO, or related fields
  
  
  

Security Clearance Requirement

An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
