Description

Network Operations Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and securing the enterprise infrastructure network. Enables the interface between users, applications, services and the Internet and while complying with the network architecture policies and procedures.

Ideal candidate will reside in the Jacksonville, FL or close to an Acosta Group office and be comfortable working a Hybrid Scheduled of at least 3 days in office. Position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day health of the enterprise infrastructure systems to keep functionality running optimally. Expected to resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner and notify related teams.
  • Manages existing integration solutions, including modifying, testing, validating, and documenting system changes.
  • Promotes and adheres to normal change control processes for these activities to include creating and maintaining documentation for the IT Infrastructure Team, Help Desk, and LAN ADMINS.
  • Manages network and IT infrastructure environments performing MACDs (move, add, change, and delete) and repairs. To include administering office MACDs as well as implementing multiprotocol line switching (MPLS), internet service providers (ISPs), and network equipment
  • Resolves complex technical problems relating to the installation, upgrade, and daily operation of local and regionally distributed networks and IT Infrastructure MPLS and ISP connectivity and communication.
  • Designs and implements upgrades, patches, equipment upgrades and configurations.
  • Come up with approaches to reduce operational costs and improve the growing infrastructure’s efficiency and to ensure their organization’s information security.
  • Interacts with technical staff to ensure the safe and proper installation of cabling, wiring, and other electrical hardware. Helps to identify process and procedural issues, may suggest potential solutions, and engages teammates or other teams as required.
  • Leads and supports projects to facilitate an office commissioning, decommissioning, or upgrade to include circuits, hardware or IT needs. Data backup is happening and processes and practices for recovery are in place.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on network infrastructure projects include switching, routers, firewalls, servers, personnel, equipment, and infrastructure software, among others
  • Provides on-call off hours support daily or on weekends and holidays as required to support the applications to include field work. Field work may include site surveys and audits to ensure that the organization’s network site has the proper specifications along with a 3rd party vendor.
  • Ensure further that their networks operate with minimal downtime. They also must ensure that their organizations are complying with the network architecture policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum Education and Requirements

  • Associate degree or above is desirable, or at least 3 years of relevant experience in the field.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Over three years of combined experiences in various aspects of network and IT infrastructure including:
  • Designing network and IT solutions
  • Deploying infrastructure devices and technologies
  • Configuring systems and networks
  • Supporting IT operations and users
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Debugging software and hardware problems
  • Administering network and IT systems
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • The ability to effectively manage and prioritize individual Infrastructure projects and tasks.
  • Possess superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work after normal business hours when needed.
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience with IP network protocols related to persistent connections and real-time push related protocols.
  • Enterprise Technical experience maintaining, designing, debugging, and implementation of network and MPLS and ISP communication networks.
  • Use management tools and agents remotely to monitor and troubleshoot voice and data networks.
