Why This Job is Important. The Network Engineer ensures that Nice-Pak’s enterprise network infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and high-performing across multiple locations and cloud environments. This role is critical to ensuring reliable connectivity, maintaining strong security, and enabling efficient IT operations that support the entire business.

By designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level networks, the Network Engineer directly supports Nice-Pak’s ability to deliver quality products to customers, safeguard sensitive data, and enable associates to perform their work effectively.

This position works directly with a wide variety of collaborators across multiple departments and locations.

About You.

What You Can Expect.

As a Network Engineer, You Will

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network architecture (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/SD-WAN).
  • Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Monitor performance, resolve connectivity issues, and support cloud networking.
  • Automate network tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python).
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams and document network standards.
  • Manage vendor activities and ensure alignment with technical and project requirements.
  • Lead hardware/software deployments and testing efforts to meet project timelines.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining disaster recovery procedures and documentation.
  • Provide Tier 3 support and participate in on-call rotation.

What We Expect From You In The Role.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in enterprise network engineering.
  • Knowledge/Skills:
    • Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and QoS.
    • Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and cloud platforms (M365, Azure).
    • Strong troubleshooting, automation, and optimization skills.
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and ITIL/Agile methodologies.
    • Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Certifications: Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or VMware certifications are considered a plus.
