YOUR ROLE

The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining the health, performance, and security of our network infrastructure. You will monitor network systems, resolve incidents, optimize performance, and support both internal and external customers in a high-availability environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization’s data and systems.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Assist with the configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and support LAN, WAN, and VPN environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Respond to network alerts, incidents, and service requests using ticketing systems and monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain network solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support after-hours maintenance and emergency troubleshooting.
  • Ensure network documentation is up to date, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new technologies and improve network efficiency.
  • Maintain network compliance standards and contribute to system upkeep and operations.

What You Bring

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, IPsec, etc.
  • Familiarity with network hardware (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.) and command-line interfaces.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent).
  • Experience in cloud networking in AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a distributed team in multiple time zones.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
