As the Western Regional Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the distribution operations within your designated region. Job Summary
As the Western Regional Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the distribution operations within your designated region. Your role will involve strategic planning, managing logistics, and ensuring efficient supply chain processes to meet customer demands and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement distribution strategies aligned with company goals.
- Analyze market trends and adjust distribution plans accordingly.
- Oversee day-to-day distribution operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and improve logistics processes, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.
- Lead and mentor distribution teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Manage the regional distribution budget, optimizing costs while maintaining service quality.
- Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and partners to enhance distribution efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Promote a safe working environment and implement safety protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred), or eight (8) years progressive experience in the foodservice, (production, distribution, or retail), or operations management areas in lieu of degree
- Ability to travel up to 60% within assigned region
- Strong background in senior leadership roles with exposure to contract/budget management, customer service, people development, food services, negotiations, etc.
- Has a proven track record of growing a business and leading teams, along with strong financial acumen
- Has ability to think quickly, analytically, strategically, and accurately
- Shows expert client relationship, influencing, listening, and communications (written and verbal) skills
- Champions the inclusion mindset, and is proactive, positive, professional, flexible, and resilient
- Demonstrates initiative, ownership, multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills
- Proven experience in distribution and logistics management, preferably in a regional role.
