What You’ll Do

As a Mid-Level IT Specialist, you’ll provide enterprise-level support for secure IT systems and infrastructure—ensuring system integrity, compliance, and performance in classified and unclassified environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Tier II/III support for engineering, program, and security teams
• Administer Windows infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
• Secure and patch systems per DoD STIGs and NIST RMF guidelines
• Support Microsoft 365, virtualization (VMware), and endpoint configurations
• Maintain operational documentation, system baselines, and SOPs
• Monitor systems for performance, uptime, and security posture
• Assist with audits, incident response, and cyber compliance activities
• Onboard/offboard users and manage access for secure lab environments
  
  

Requirements

What You Bring

• U.S. Citizenship (Required)
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 4+ years of IT experience in secure or regulated environments
• Able to work occasional off-hours support based on mission needs
• Some physical requirements (e.g., lifting up to 40 lbs. for hardware setup)
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Windows 11, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Application and software configuration on classified and unclassified systems
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards (RMF, STIGs, DoD protocols)
• Working knowledge of scripting with PowerShell or other automation tools
• Understanding of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
  
  

Soft Skills:

• Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Comfortable working in a team-driven, security-conscious environment
  
  

Bonus Points For:

• Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CASP, CISSP
• Experience supporting secure labs or SCIF environments
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow)
• Linux system administration (RHEL 8/9)
