Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will verify patient eligibility and benefits with insurance companies to ensure accurate billing and payment for medical services. Will also obtain pre-authorizations, explain financial responsibilities to patients, and manage insurance-related issues.

- Obtain and maintain accurate patient insurance information, including coverage details, policy numbers, and eligibility.
- Obtain necessary pre-authorizations for medical procedures and services from insurance companies.
- Explain patient financial responsibilities, coverage details, and answer questions about insurance and billing.
- Address insurance denials, discrepancies, and other issues to ensure accurate reimbursement.
- Update patient records with verified insurance information and other relevant details.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service skills to interact with patients and insurance companies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Ability to work with computer systems and databases.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual. Fluency in both English and Spanish.
