The Media Content Coordinator curates and produces compelling stories of ministry impact that inspire FCA's global audience and mobilize them to fuel the mission. This role serves at the intersection of storytelling and ministry, helping audiences see, celebrate, and respond to what God is doing through FCA around the world.

With ministry presence in over 100 countries, FCA is witnessing transformative stories daily through coaches and athletes. The Media Content Coordinator plays a central role in identifying, organizing, and developing these stories into content that builds connection, drives engagement, and furthers FCA's mission. Through story-driven media, this role helps bridge ministry impact with ministry advancement.

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.

  • Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
  • Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
  • Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
  • Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.

Role Responsibilities

  • Curate and coordinate story leads in collaboration with ministry staff across regions.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up interviews with ministry constituents to gather story content.
  • Write and edit scripts, talking points, and interview questions for video production.
  • Serve as co-producer during video shoots, ensuring that key themes and impact are captured.
  • Collaborate with Media Producers, Communications, and Field Ministry teams to deliver aligned and effective content.
  • Maintain clear documentation of story details, logistics, and deadlines for production timelines.
  • Actively track and prioritize story production based on ministry and event needs.

COMPETENCIES

  • Storytelling: Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for ministry impact and narrative clarity.
  • Production Savvy: Basic understanding of video production process; ability to collaborate with technical teams.
  • Interviewing: Skill in developing and asking thoughtful questions that draw out authentic, compelling responses.
  • Project Coordination: Highly organized with an ability to manage timelines, people, and production needs.
  • Collaboration: Strong relational and communication skills across departments and with external contributors.
  • Creative Vision: Ability to imagine and shape stories for maximum impact across FCA's platforms and audiences.

Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience in similar field.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and producing capabilities for effective storytelling.
  • Exceptional communication and skills in cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Ability to craft interview questions used for curating impactful stories.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate people around specific project needs.
  • Creative vision and ability to take stories and craft them into compelling content.
