About This Role
This position is responsible for the handling of manufactured and purchased materials.
Responsibilities
- Secure materials on pallets or carts to prevent damage or safety hazard during truck transport.
- Secure pallets or carts in the truck cargo bay to ensure safe transportation between buildings.
- Daily inspection of trucks to be driven to ensure all safety equipment is in proper working condition.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues with the truck to the Logistics Manager.
- Deliver materials or parts to proper destination (Weld, Hardware, Machine shop, Assembly, Shipping, Stockroom, etc.)
- Performs other related tasks assigned by the department Supervisor, Manager, or Lead Person.
- Must have basic Math Skills
- Requires ability to read and write in English.
- No previous experience is required.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently.
