Position Overview
We’re seeking an innovative, organized, and impact-driven Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to bring our work to life across digital and public platforms. You’ll help shape the Foundation’s voice, grow our online presence, and share stories that inspire, inform, and activate. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for community-centered storytelling, digital strategy, and visual design—who’s eager to turn content into connection and engagement into movement.

Position Overview
We’re seeking an innovative, organized, and impact-driven Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to bring our work to life across digital and public platforms. You’ll help shape the Foundation’s voice, grow our online presence, and share stories that inspire, inform, and activate. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for community-centered storytelling, digital strategy, and visual design—who’s eager to turn content into connection and engagement into movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic, multi-channel marketing campaigns that align with APF’s programs, events, and mission impact
- Create and manage compelling digital content across platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and the APF website
- Design flyers, infographics, and promotional materials using Canva or Adobe Suite; capture photography and video content at events and for digital storytelling
- Coordinate event promotions, including community outreach, partner activations, tabling, and online engagement
- Uphold brand integrity by ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity across all departments and materials
- Engage with our digital community—respond to comments and messages, spotlight community voices, and share testimonials that reflect the spirit of our work
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics for social media, newsletters, and campaigns; use insights to continuously improve strategy and reach
- Support collaborative planning with internal teams to align content calendars, program milestones, and outreach efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience
- 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, nonprofit communications, or grassroots community outreach
- Proficiency in content creation, social media management, and graphic design
- Experience with platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and social scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite)
- Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
- Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for events
- Familiarity with or lived experience in the communities APF serves is a plus
