THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The Manager, UB Media Design will design world-class creative that drives meaningful connections between brand partners and Ulta Beauty guests within UB Media. From digital content (both onsite & offsite) and social content to key campaign visuals, you’ll develop engaging, data-driven advertising content focused on consistent design excellence following established toolkits and brand direction. You’ll stay on top of RMN industry trends, styles, and technology to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life. Creatively, you’ll deliver work that celebrates brands, resonates with guests, and strengthens Ulta Beauty’s unique approach. By integrating cultural insights and a multicultural lens, you’ll strategically tailor creative solutions to connect authentically with diverse audiences, ensuring Ulta Beauty shows up in meaningful and memorable ways.

The pay range for this position is $86,500.00 - $120,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. The Manager, UB Media Creative will manage a team of freelancers and/or agency partners.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
- Team Management: Lead and mentor team of designers & writers providing guidance, feedback and support to deliver creative excellence. Motivate the team to be innovative & progressive through design, art direction, typography and creative exploration.
- Brand Connection: Ensure a unified and consistent brand identity. Partner closely with Merchandising & Marketing to support integrated messaging & campaigns with a focus on the guest journey and conversion driving behavior.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the design and implementation process, ensuring that the final experience meets or exceeds expectations.
- Project Oversight: Manage high-profile design projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. Work closely with Creative Operations to understand complex scheduling overlaps to be able to foresee timing or workload conflicts.
- Creative Strategy: Develop and oversee the overall creative strategy for advertising campaigns, aligning with marketing goals and brand guidelines.
- Trend Analysis: Stay current on marketing trends and consumer insights to incorporate innovative ideas into campaigns.
- Marketing Acumen: Knowledge of marketing principles, including audience segmentation, brand positioning, and campaign metrics.
- Digital Proficiency: Expertise in digital advertising landscape, including social media, video platforms, and programmatic buying and understanding of best practices for each platform. Understanding the Retail Media landscape, the changing needs of the CPG community and the shifting consumer sentiment
- 5+ years designing digital experiences.
- 3+ retail media network experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about pursuing a career in one of the fastest growing sectors of digital media – Retail Media.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, advertising, fine arts, or related field.
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing design process and strategic thinking.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools and software including the Adobe Creative Suite, including video and motion, Microsoft Office, and Figma.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for Ulta Beauty, its products, and its guests.
- Proven ability to bring design vision to reality.
- Ability to drive innovation, both in technology and in process, including AI exploration.
- Fundamental understanding of and desire to use data to evolve creative direction.
